Antique Taco Fried Chicken Burrito Dupe
Fried Chicken Burrito with Tres Queso, Smoked Habanero Salsa, Honey, and Potato Chips
My take on chef Rick Ortiz's fried chicken burrito from Antique Taco in Chicago: a big griddled flour tortilla stuffed with crispy fried chicken, black beans, Ortiz's tres queso blend, chicken bit crema, smoked habanero salsa, honey, scallions, plain kettle chips, and my customized take on the red onion and arugula. For the chicken, I usually make life easy and grab Chick-fil-A, KFC, or another good fried chicken. Nuggets, strips, tenders, or popcorn chicken all work. Frozen fried chicken is fair game too. If you want the full project, make the buttermilk thigh nuggets yourself.
