Best power strips for standing desks
The strip should ride with the desk. Leave a service loop at the wall so standing height does not yank the plug. If I were choosing for most home desks, I'd start with the TROND. Its outlets sit far enough apart that two fat bricks do not kill each other.

Screw the bar to a tray or the frame, or buy a clamp strip. A flat wall plug lets the desk sit closer to the wall. USB-C on a strip can retire phone bricks. It will not replace a laptop charger unless the listing states enough wattage. 20W is phone and tablet territory.

TROND flat-plug strip (5 ft)
This is the default home-desk strip on this page, and the one I'd buy if the desk sits against a wall. Flat plug so the desk can sit closer to the wall. Ten outlets spaced wide enough that a brick does not kill the neighbor. Two USB-A and two USB-C ports sit on the strip, so a few phone chargers can leave the tray. Combined USB output is 17W.
4000 joules of surge protection, ETL listed. Five feet of cord is enough for a tray if you leave a loop. It is short if the only outlet is across the room.
Mount it. The body has tabs for screws. A standing desk still needs slack at the wall. A perfect strip will yank the plug if you tape the cord tight.

2100 joules of surge is lower than the TROND and the Amazon Basics pick. Fine for a typical home office. If surge rating is why you are shopping, I would not start here.
USB-C at 20W will not replace a laptop brick. Check the listing if you hoped it would. Leave a service loop at the wall. Twelve outlets do not help if the plug pops out at standing height.

Eight outlets, 4500 joules, a six-foot cord. No USB. This is the strip you screw or drop into a tray and forget. Outlets sit with room for a couple of bricks, so two fat adapters are less likely to block each other.
The extra cord length versus the TROND five-footer is the standing-desk feature. You can leave a real service loop at the wall and still reach a tray.
If surge rating is the reason you are shopping, I'd point here. It looks like a basic strip because it is one. Mount it. A floor strip next to a sit-stand desk is how cords get yanked and stepped on.

Should the standing-desk power strip ride on the desk or the floor?
On the desk, in an under-desk tray, or on the frame. Floor strips catch feet and stretch the cord when the desk rises.
Do I need a new strip or just a mount?
If the outlets already fit your bricks, keep the strip and add a bracket or tray. Buy a new strip when spacing, cord length, or surge protection is the problem.
Can I daisy-chain two strips under a standing desk?
No. Plug one strip into the wall. If you need more outlets, get a longer strip or a second wall circuit.
Will 20W USB-C on a strip charge my laptop?
