Width needs to cover keyboard plus mouse travel. Depth is the miss. A 16-inch XXL is keyboard and a short mouse run. A 24-inch pad covers most of a 30-inch sit-stand top. Same brand pages sell XL, XXL, and 3XL. Read the size on the listing you are about to buy.

A 4 mm 3XL can keep a monitor-arm clamp from grabbing the wood. Stop the pad short of the back edge or use a 3 mm cloth like the G840. Cloth holds stains. This is the big cloth mat. 48 by 24 inches covers keyboard, mouse, and most of a standard work top. The extra depth is the point. A 16-inch pad leaves a strip of desk in front of the monitor.
Two USB ports sit on the mat. Plug a mouse or headset there instead of fishing behind the PC. Lights and the hub need the included USB-C cable. If you do not want a cable to the mat, pick a plain cloth pad.
I'd take this if you want coverage plus those two USB ports. Cloth still stains. Wipe what you can. Do not treat this like a kitchen counter.

Razer's 3XL Gigantus is a thick cloth pad meant to cover a desk, not sit under one mouse. About 47 by 22 inches, 4 millimeters of foam. It flattens a cheap laminate top better than a thin XL.
No RGB. No USB. That is the trade. You roll it out and work. Confirm the size on the listing. Razer also sells XXL, which is shorter.
I'd buy this if you want the wide cloth cover without lights. Cloth still stains. If you eat at the desk, the deep Aothia is the easier surface.

QcK Heavy is the thick SteelSeries cloth in XXL. About 35 by 16 inches. That is keyboard plus mouse on a normal office desk, not a full 24-inch-deep cover.
The extra thickness is the stay-put argument. A thin pad has less foam to stay put when you plant your palms. The surface is the same micro-woven cloth SteelSeries has sold for years.
I don't think this covers a 30-inch sit-stand top front to back. If you want the wood gone, buy a 24-inch-deep mat instead. This one leaves a strip in front of the monitor.

Will a cloth desk mat work as a mouse pad?
Yes. Cloth XL and 3XL pads are built for that. PU also tracks most office mice. If you play low-DPI shooters, cloth is usually the better surface.
Can I put a monitor-arm clamp on top of a thick mat?
Often no. A 4 mm pad can keep the clamp from biting the desktop. Use a thin mat like the G840, or stop the mat short of the clamp.
Why does a 16-inch XXL leave wood on a sit-stand top?
A lot of sit-stand frames are 30 inches deep. Keyboard and mouse fit. The strip toward the monitor stays bare and moves when the desk rises. Use a 24-inch-deep cloth or PU if you want that strip gone.
Cloth or PU if I also eat at the desk?
I'd take PU. Cloth holds coffee. If you want cloth mouse tracking, keep a small cloth pad for the mouse and a PU blotter under the cup.
Does the Corsair hub work if I do not want RGB?
