Homemade Passion Fruit Juice
DIY Passion Fruit Pulp Water and Sugar Mixer
Homemade stand-in for Pete's juice-bar passion fruit bottle: passion fruit pulp loosened with water and sweetened, matching the ingredients named on the bottle.
Instructions
-
Add the passion fruit pulp and 3½ oz water to a jar or measuring cup.
-
Stir in 1 tbsp sugar until dissolved. Taste.
Prep -
Add more water (up to 4 oz total) or more sugar until it tastes like a tart-sweet juice-bar mixer, not straight pulp.
Cooking -
Chill. Stir before measuring into drinks.
Notes
- Pete's bottle label (close-up read from the Seedlip chat photos): Ingredients: Passion Fruit Pulp, Alkaline Water, Sugar. No ratios are printed.
- This is a homemade approximation, not Pete's official formula. Start less sweet if your drink already has honey syrup or agave.
- Yield is about 8 oz. Use 1 oz homemade for every 1 oz Pete's Passion Fruit Juice called for.
- Keeps refrigerated up to 3 days. Stir before each use.
- Used in Passion Fruit Mule, Ruby Tiki, and Passion Fruit Tiki Mocktail on this site.
